About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Orange, California, 92856!

Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

We are currently seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment starting April 7, 2026 .

Schedule

• Night Shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

• Weekend coverage required based on unit needs

Required Skills & Experience

• External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)

• Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

• High-risk antepartum care

• Medication management including Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives

• Assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries

• Surgical procedures including Cesarean sections, D&C, and cervical cerclage

Patient Population

• Neonates and adult obstetric patients

Unit Highlights

• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit managing complex pregnancy conditions such as preterm labor, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal anomalies, multiple gestations, IUFD, hypertension, and diabetes

• Patient ratio: 1:1 – 1:2

• Magnet-designated acute care hospital

Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience 

• Travel experience required (No first-time travelers)

• Must be able to circulate for C-sections

• Experience in large hospital settings preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS

• ACLS

• NRP

• AWHONN Intermediate (NCC EFM certification can be accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN)

• AWHONN Advanced preferred
