Job Opportunity

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment, with the primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.

Essential Functions

Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within scope of practice.
Provide education to patients based on their individual needs.
Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders.
Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Credentials

Must possess a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and maintain good standing with the Board of Nursing.
Must have a current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain credentials throughout employment.
Must have a current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room tasks for C-sections, as determined by the Department Director.
Must have a current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for pediatrics.
Must have a current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, which must be maintained throughout employment in the Family Care Unit.
Nurses working in Labor and Delivery must complete the Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after orientation and the Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within three years after completing labor orientation.
