Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Montana

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Montana

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (potential for 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts). On-call requirement: 8 shifts per month including variable call on weekends and nights. Weekend coverage: every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on rotation and time-off requests. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 2-room operating room supporting diverse surgical specialties including OB/GYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Pain Management, and Dental
• Comprehensive surgical services role with rotation through Pre-Op, Circulating, PACU Phase I and II, and Endoscopy
• Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:4 depending on unit and patient acuity
• Epic EMR system in use facility-wide
• Critical Access Hospital environment serving adults, pediatrics, and geriatric populations
• Flexibility to float within surgical services and assist other departments within scope of practice

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Active Compact State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Must be experienced in circulating C-sections (hard requirement)
• Proficiency in wide range of OR procedures including laparoscopic procedures, orthopedic surgeries, GYN procedures, endoscopy, and general surgery
• Demonstrated competency in perioperative patient care from pre-op through discharge
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (facility does not accept Nursys or background hits)
