If you want to join the industry leader and make a difference, please consider this opportunity.Compensation and IncentivesWeekly competitive pay is $28 - $30/per hourTool/Boot reimbursement programReferral programEmployee benefits: discounted premiums for medical, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accountsGenerous paid time off/holiday scheduleEmployer matching 401KJob Summary: Responsible for diagnosing, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on semi-truck trailers and tractors, including tasks like brake adjustments, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, basic structural repairs, and more, all while working out of a service truck and adhering to strict safety regulations; general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards. Uses technical publications or automated systems in maintaining vehicles to prescribed manufacturers' maintenance schedules and for researching parts. Properly annotates all maintenance and labor performed in maintenance management software.Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers. Perform annual/systematic 90 day inspections (trailers) on equipment as required. Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste.Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safetyUsing welding equipmentPerform miscellaneous duties as assigned.BenefitsEmployee benefits: discounted premiums for medical, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accountsBasic life/voluntary lifeShort term and long term disabilityFlexible spending account and health savings accountEmployee assistance program401k match & Roth retirement savings planWeekly payRequirementsSkills and abilitiesMust possess at least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of equipment theory, principles and repair relating to diesel engines, air, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Must possess at least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures.R-Stamp certified (able to weld 2G, 3G, 4G and other welding needs on equipment)Must have 1 plus years of TIGEducation and experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent vocational school requiredAt least 1 year related experience required.Additional job informationThis is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours depend on location.Work environmentThe shop has a climate similar to outdoor weather.
