Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician for a Direct Hire opportunity with a reputable industrial client. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on industrial plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Work with motors operating on 480-volt power
- Install, repair, and rebuild industrial equipment and components
- Support plant shutdowns, start-ups, and emergency repairs as needed
- Perform basic fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs as required
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Maintenance Technician or Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance skills
- Required experience working with motors operating on 480 volts
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Willingness and ability to travel 20-30%
- Industrial or manufacturing plant experience
- Welding experience
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with VFDs, boilers, rigging, and installing/rebuilding industrial pumps and gearboxes
- Experience supporting plant shutdowns and start-ups
- Maintenance-related certifications or technical training
