Job Description


Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician for a Direct Hire opportunity with a reputable industrial client. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.


Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on industrial plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Work with motors operating on 480-volt power
• Install, repair, and rebuild industrial equipment and components
• Support plant shutdowns, start-ups, and emergency repairs as needed
• Perform basic fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs as required
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Maintenance Technician or Industrial Maintenance Technician
• Strong mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance skills
• Required experience working with motors operating on 480 volts
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Willingness and ability to travel 20-30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial or manufacturing plant experience
• Welding experience
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience with VFDs, boilers, rigging, and installing/rebuilding industrial pumps and gearboxes
• Experience supporting plant shutdowns and start-ups
• Maintenance-related certifications or technical training
