Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Night Shift

Location: Michigan

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description: The Staff RN will work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager to provide high-quality patient care in a general med/surg environment, including oncology, observation, hospice, and other medical-surgical patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while supervising co-workers in executing the patient's plan of care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings in the patient chart.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments.
• Evaluate patients' responses to care and adjust the care plan as necessary.
• Oversee the delegation of care tasks to unit staff to ensure the effective implementation of the patient's plan of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience is required.
• Med/Surg observation experience is required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Active RN license in Michigan (LARA and/or Nursys must state active) is required.
• Skills checklist, current to within 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Med Surg) is required.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required.
