Duties of the Quality Engineer include:

Ensure products comply with industry and customer quality standards 
Perform root cause analysis of quality issues and implement necessary corrective actions
Complete PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, etc.
Perform quality audits
Implement continuous improvement aimed at refining quality assurance
Develop and improve quality inspection standards, assist with quality inspection
Monitor and modify quality documentation

 
Requirements for the Quality Engineer position include:

Proven experience in quality assurance at a manufacturing company  
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work well internal employees and external personnel
Strong root cause analysis skills
Continuous improvement mindset
