American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a fast-paced cardiac and stroke unit requiring 2 years of cardiac tele experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Primary cardiac and stroke unit caring for pre/post procedure cardiac patients, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardiac catheterization, and new CVA/TIA patients.

Patient ratios typically 1:5-6, which may fluctuate based on unit needs.

High-acuity, fast-paced environment with 78-90 patient turnovers per week.

Manages multiple cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone with titration.

Utilizes telemetry, pulse ox, and high-flow O2 equipment.

Uses Pyxis and EPIC (Dimensions) for medication and documentation, with SBAR communication.

Night shift, 12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15), 3x per week with option for 36 hours.

Weekend requirement of every other weekend, including 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays within a 6-week period.

Floating required within or near the facility.

On-call requirement with frequency depending on patient census.

Self-scheduling with leadership oversight; no block scheduling permitted.

13-week contract or longer.

Active NC or compact RN license required.

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.

Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry experience required (hard requirement).

Experience with IV starts, cardiac drips, and PCI patients required.

EPIC charting experience preferred.

Experience with arterial line management, central and peripheral line care required.

Skill in managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required.

Experience with pacemakers, post cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath, and TR bands required.

Experience managing patients on non-invasive airway support and oxygen administration required.
