Job Summary:
The registered nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Missouri provides direct patient care within a dynamic and safety-focused environment. This role requires ensuring high-quality nursing care, supervising ancillary staff, and contributing to patient discharge planning. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Bridgeton, Missouri
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; open to candidates with up to zero years of experience
- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Additional Information:
- Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and initiates discharge planning from the day of admission.
- Communicates patient status changes to the healthcare team, including physicians and charge nurses.
- Provides supervision and direction to ancillary nursing personnel, supporting team-based care delivery.
- Follows safety protocols emphasizing patient and staff safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.
- Maintains professionalism through adherence to appearance, attendance, and punctuality standards.
- Supports professional growth through continuing education and self-directed learning.
