Scanning Coordinator

The Scanning Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely pricing throughout the store by maintaining the store's pricing and scanning systems. This includes shelf tags, weekly ad pricing, promotional signage, and system updates. The role requires attention to detail, good computer skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all items are scanned correctly at the register and match shelf and ad pricing
• Maintaining pricing integrity by updating pricing files and conducting price checks regularly
• Placing shelf tags and signs for regular and promotional items
• Coordinating weekly ad changes, price changes, and promotional signage
• Working with department managers to verify product prices, descriptions, and UPC accuracy
• Investigating and resolving scanning errors or pricing discrepancies
• Performing regular audits of scanned items to ensure accuracy
• Communicating with corporate pricing departments as needed
• Training others on scanning system procedures as necessary
• Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory pricing laws

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior grocery or retail experience preferred
• Familiarity with scanning systems and POS systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good math and computer skills
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

Work environment includes:

• Fast-paced retail environment
• Frequent computer use and physical movement throughout the store
• May involve working in multiple temperature zones (e.g., coolers, freezers)
