Overview Join our Med/Surg Tele team and increase your knowledge and skill set! Sign-on Incentive of $10,000 for qualified applicants in Med/Surg and Tele areas. Regions available: Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fort Dodge, Madison, Quad Cities, Sioux City, and Waterloo. Pay Rate: $65 per hour across all 8 regions. Full time positions only. Scheduling, assignment decisions, placement and day-to-day operations will be discussed during your phone screen. We’re looking for amazing nurses to join our excited RN Travel Nurse travel float team. Responsibilities As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contribute nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and families. Maintain a practice environment aligned with the ANA Code for Nurses and the philosophy of UnityPoint Health. Float to various nursing units across the UnityPoint Health enterprise. Conduct all aspects of nursing care ethically and in support of the hospital’s commitment to ethical behavior. Assist in plan of care development and integrate a multidisciplinary approach. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to other department associates and follow‑up on collaboration. Implement nursing procedures according to departmental standards, hospital protocols, and scope of practice. Continuously evaluate outcomes of nursing care by assessing patient/family responses and updating patient care to reflect changes in needs. Successfully complete the hospital and department orientation and annual specific competencies. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN degree. One (1) year of hospital clinical experience. Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse. Dual licensure: licensure in Illinois and in a Compact State to practice in Iowa and Wisconsin. Proof of dual licensure within 90 days of hire; proof of application acceptable if licensing pending. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Valid driver’s license when driving work vehicles. Other required certifications as per unit competency: PALS for units with pediatric patients, TNCC, NIHSS, ACLS within 6 months for telemetry, ICU, ER units. Fluent written and spoken English; basic computer skills with Microsoft Office. Customer/patient focused; critical thinking skills using independent judgment. Preferred or Specialized: Not required for essential functions.
