Lead Where the Work Happens

Alpine Specialty Services is looking for an experienced Field Service Manager to lead and develop our carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning field teams throughout the Seattle to Everett area.

This is a hands-on field leadership position, not a desk-based management role. You will spend most of your week alongside technicians in customers' homes, conducting ride-alongs, checking work quality, coaching performance, supporting difficult situations, and making sure our teams consistently deliver excellent service.

You do not need previous carpet cleaning or air duct cleaning experience. We can teach you our services. What we need is someone who already knows how to lead field employees, hold people accountable, coach performance, and take ownership of results.

Alpine Specialty Services is a family-owned home services company that has served the Puget Sound area since 1969. You will report directly to the owner and have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the performance and development of our field teams.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead daily 7:00 AM field team huddles and set expectations for the day

• Spend significant time in the field conducting technician ride-alongs and job-site quality checks

• Coach technicians on service quality, productivity, customer experience, and sales performance

• Hire, train, develop, and manage field employees

• Conduct direct performance and accountability conversations when expectations are not being met

• Recognize strong performance while addressing problems quickly and consistently

• Use technician scorecards and reporting to identify trends, performance gaps, and coaching opportunities

• Review production, revenue, add-on sales, callbacks, customer reviews, communication quality, and vehicle safety information

• Turn performance data into timely, practical coaching in the field

• Coach production-paid technicians on identifying and appropriately recommending additional services that benefit the customer

• Maintain quality standards even when working with high-producing technicians

• Respond to customer concerns in person when necessary and work toward an appropriate resolution

• Help keep technician schedules, company vehicles, equipment, and field operations running effectively

• Follow up promptly on driver and vehicle safety alerts

• Partner directly with ownership on field performance, team development, and operational goals

Technology and Performance Tracking

You will not be expected to build reporting systems or spend your days creating spreadsheets.

Alpine Specialty Services provides daily technician performance information through ServiceTitan, AI-supported tools, and other reporting systems. Your responsibility is to understand what the numbers are showing, identify where intervention is needed, and take action with the technician.

Experience with ServiceTitan, Jobber, or similar field service software is helpful but not required.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of direct experience supervising a field-based team

• Experience hiring, training, coaching, developing, and managing employee performance

• Demonstrated experience taking ownership of measurable production, revenue, quality, or operational goals

• A leadership style that is comfortable being in the field and working directly alongside employees

• Ability to interpret performance information and translate it into effective coaching

• Confidence having difficult conversations and holding employees accountable to established expectations

• Ability to coach technicians on ethical sales and appropriate add-on service recommendations

• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities involving employees, customers, schedules, vehicles, and equipment

• Comfort using technology, reporting platforms, and AI-supported tools

• Valid Washington driver's license with an insurable driving record

• Ability to work in residential job-site environments, including navigating stairs, kneeling, and moving equipment

Experience That Can Be a Plus

Experience within carpet cleaning or air duct cleaning is not required .

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Restoration services

• Pest control

• HVAC or other residential home services

• Field service operations

• Route-based service businesses

• Other industries involving management of technicians or field crews

• Military leadership

We provide training on our services during your first 90 days and pay for applicable IICRC and NADCA certifications.

Compensation

• $82,500 to $90,000 annual base salary , depending on experience

• Monthly performance bonus opportunity of up to $12,000 annually
