The City of Bangor is hiring for an amazing opportunity, for the right candidate interested in making a difference, as the Assistant City Manager. The Assistant City Manager serves in a highly visible and responsible leadership role , providing day-to-day assistance regarding a wide variety of administrative and governance functions to the City Manager, City Council, department directors and division heads. This position is a full-time exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package. Highlights include:

This position’s full salary range is $127,275 - $170,975

From plowing roads to emergency response to registering your vehicle, the City of Bangor does it all. We take pride in the variety of services we offer including a major Airport in Maine, a regional transit system, one of two Public Health Depts. In the State, and the more typical type service that our citizens have come to expect.
Our community is the third largest in Maine with just over 31,000 residents with a large influx during the day as commuters arrive to begin their work day. Nicknamed the “Queen City”, we boast several local colleges, full-service convention center, and a waterfront concert venue that draws large crowds to Bangor every year.
