PARTS Shipping and Receiving

Position Summary The Parts Department Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, processing, storing, and shipping automotive parts and accessories. This role ensures timely and accurate inventory flow within the dealership to support service technicians, retail customers, and wholesale clients. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Receive incoming parts shipments from manufacturer and vendors Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against packing slips and purchase orders. Process incoming parts into the dealership management system (DMS). Label and properly store parts in assigned warehouse locations. Prepare, package, and ship outgoing parts orders to customers and other dealerships. Coordinates shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) for pickups and deliveries. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to the Parts Manager. Organize warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and retrieval. Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory or backordered items. Internal Support Distribute received parts promptly to service technicians and counter staff. Assist parts counter personnel with locating and pulling parts as needed. Ensure core returns and warranty parts are processed according to manufacturer guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Fill in as driver for parts deliveries and pickups Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GEDrequired. Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or automotive parts experience preferred. Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computerproficiencyand data entry accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred). #J-18808-Ljbffr
