We're building out our marketing team as we grow — our Marketing Coordinator is stepping up into a manager role, and we need someone to take the reins on the daily work of showing off what we actually build: full backyard transformations, not just pools. About Mud Turtle Outdoor Living

Mud Turtle Outdoor Living is a design-build company in Mokena, IL serving the southwest Chicago suburbs. We build inground pools, paver patios, outdoor kitchens, and structures — the whole backyard, not just one piece of it. Our season runs March through December, with a design and marketing team that stays busy planning ahead through the winter.

About the Role

A year from now, you'll have built a real pipeline from jobsite to feed — consistent, high-quality photo and video content flowing from active projects into a posting calendar that runs like clockwork. You'll report to our Marketing Manager and work closely with her day to day;
this is a true partnership, not a role where you wait to be told what to post.

What You'll Do

• Own the day-to-day social media calendar — daily and weekly posts across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms we use
• Visit active job sites regularly to shoot photo and video of projects in progress and completed, in all the seasons our crews are working
• Run and help optimize social media ad campaigns alongside the Marketing Manager
• Coordinate with our sales, design, and production teams so no great project moment gets missed
• Support the Marketing Manager on broader marketing work — website content, brand consistency, campaigns — as it comes up
• Track what's actually working (engagement, ad performance) and report back in plain, useful terms

What We're Looking For

Required

• Experience running the day-to-day social media accounts for a business — building and keeping a content calendar on schedule
• Experience shooting and editing photo and video content for social, on location with a phone or camera — not just designing graphics at a desk
• Comfortable visiting active construction or job sites regularly, in all the weather our March–December season brings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites around the southwest Chicago suburbs

Preferred

• Experience running or assisting with paid social advertising campaigns
• Broader marketing experience beyond social — campaigns, email, content strategy, or brand work
• Background in home services, construction, or another visually-driven industry (real estate, hospitality, design)
• Familiarity with Canva or a similar design tool

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $48,000–$58,000 per year, depending on experience — particularly photo and video production skill and breadth of marketing background.

Benefits: 401(k) eligible and 5 days of PTO after 90 days of employment;
separate from company-wide breaks;
an extended Thanksgiving break;
and an extended winter break running from the Friday before Christmas through New Year's Eve, back to work the first few days of January — a real perk of working in a seasonal business built around our slower months, not just standard holiday time off.
