Custom Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Raleigh, NC . The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced support environment.

Rate Range: $15/hour to $19/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Respond to user requests, questions, and technical issues through phone, email, and support ticket channels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and user access issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide customer support for application-related inquiries and assist with billing-related questions when required.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of supported applications, financial system interfaces, and customer registration systems.
• Document incidents, requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting activities within the ticket management system.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams and ensure proper follow-up through resolution.
• Collaborate with help desk team members to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) and support processes while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including:

  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in Help Desk, Customer Support, Technical Support, or Service Desk environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
• Experience supporting business applications, customer service processes, or enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of incident management and ticketing system best practices.

Pay Details: $15.00 to $19.00 per hour
