Protection and Control Engineer

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Protection and Control Engineer will design high-quality protection schemes for T&D substations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution. Key responsibilities Develop protection and control designs for various T&D substations, including one-lines and AC/DC schematics Conduct peer reviews of design documents and coordinate with electrical layout engineers and commissioning teams Perform design calculations and create procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Required qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Familiarity with IEC 61850 process and system bus architecture for substations Knowledge of power system analysis software such as ETAP and Aspen Oneliner Understanding of NERC-CIP standards and guidelines for Cyber Security and Grid Interconnection Experience in technical problem-solving related to protection and control design
