Job Summary:
The Nursing Professional specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is expected to provide compassionate obstetric care in a critical access hospital setting. Located in a small community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, this position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment with the flexibility to float to related units as needed. The role involves caring for postpartum patients and newborns during the Day shift.

Job Details:

• Location: Newport, Vermont (zip code: 05855)
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Current Nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Location Requirements: Ability to work in Newport, Vermont
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in postpartum and nursery care
  • Flexibility to float to other units, including progressive care
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates should be comfortable with floating to other units and caring for overflow from the postpartum and nursery units
  • Active participation in departmental quarterly education sessions is required
