Gift of Life Donor Program is the non-profit, federally-designated organ procurement organization, serving 11.3 million people across the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. This position supports efforts designed to increase public awareness of and commitment to organ and tissue donation and transplantation. You will represent the nation’s leading organ donor program, which coordinates more life-saving transplants than any program in the country. Position Description:

Job Summary: This is an excellent opportunity for a college student to assist with innovative educational programs, special projects, events, and campaigns to increase public understanding of organ donation and transplantation, and of the critical need to increase donor designations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Contribute to the planning and implementation of signature events and sponsorship programs such as Donor Dash, Transplant Candidate program, and Team Philadelphia at the U.S. Transplant Games • Assist with the implementation of school education programs, including the College Challenge, License to Save Lives virtual program, and Philadelphia high school grant programs • Assist with organizing educational programming and grants to promote donation awareness and donor registration with high schools, community, faith and other organizations • Support commemorations, including National Donate Life Month, National Minority Donor Awareness Month, and Donor Sabbath • Collaborate with staff in outreach to volunteers and external partners • Support maintaining and researching databases, community lists, etc.

Qualifications:

• College student majoring in public health, communications, public relations, or related field • Professional writing and interpersonal communications skills • Experience working in a professional office environment • The ability to travel and work throughout the Gift of Life service area for special events • Microsoft Office competencies including Excel and PowerPoint • Must be able to bend, twist, lift and climb to set up a variety of displays, lift materials weighing 30 pounds and stand/sit for long periods of time • Employer will discuss hybrid work possibility with candidates during interview process
