Advanced Gastroenterologist Opening in Southwest Connecticut

A non-profit, independent health system in southwest Connecticut with over 4,100 employees is adding a gastroenterologist with fellowship training in advanced endoscopy. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing compassionate, person-centered, holistic patient care.
About the Opportunity:
- Join a collegial team of 4 GI Physicians
- 305-bed highly rated hospital
- This position includes both clinical and academic responsibilities
- This position is open due to growth
- Students from 2 medical schools rotate on inpatient services and in our clinics
- Attendings are encouraged to participate in teaching residents and students
- Faculty appointments available
- Call is 1:8
- EPIC EMR
- Guaranteed base salary and wRVU component with no cap
- Generous Sign-on Bonus and relocation assistance
- Loan repayment through PSLF
Community/Location:
- Located in southwest Connecticut, 1 hour from New York City
- Local commuter rail station with non-stop service to Grand Central Station
- This community has a lively walkable downtown area, UCONN campus, and a mini-Manhattan vibe
- Local events and amenities include an outdoor concert series, the Palace Theater, Cove Beach, Harbor Point, Chelsea Piers Sports Complex, and The Maritime Aquarium
