Lead Data Engineer (T2)

Position Summary Lead data engineering execution in support of complex application development initiatives, ensuring data integrations, pipelines, and models align with established architectural standards. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and execute data migrations between systems, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and completeness across environments. Develop new data pipelines, APIs, and data management tools in an agile environment, supporting the end‑to‑end lifecycle: design, deployment, test, operations, monitoring, and support. Apply continuous delivery practices for automated pipeline deployment and schema versioning into production environments. Maintain strong focus on data quality, testing strategy, and test automation for migrations. Qualifications & Experience Proficiency in Python with a history of delivering production pipelines. Experience building production scripts or services for data movement and validation. Proficient with Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Tabular Model/DAX, Microsoft Fabric) or comparable technologies. Real production experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, especially SQL Server and MongoDB. Comfortable modeling data, analyzing source and target schemas, writing complex queries, and resolving data quality issues during migration. Experience using Git and GitHub for distributed version control. Familiarity with agile methods and continuous delivery concepts. Knowledge of security, testing, performance, JSON, and REST principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range is $132,000 – $160,000 in Nashville, plus eligibility for benefits and a discretionary bonus.
