Activities Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our long-term care team in Rome, Georgia. The ideal candidate will support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Assist in organizing and facilitating recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of long-term care residents. Encourage resident participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment. Support the development of individualized activity plans in collaboration with the care team. Monitor and document resident engagement and progress during activities. Maintain a safe and clean activity area and ensure all equipment is properly used and stored. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to enhance the overall activity program. Qualifications Experience as a Long-Term Care Activities Assistant or similar role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work compassionately with elderly or disabled individuals. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care environment.
