Purchasing Agent

Purchasing AgentExpress Employment Professionals is hiring for a Purchasing Agent in Terre Haute, IN. This full-time position offers competitive pay based on experience.Purchasing Agent Job Requirements:- Create purchase orders: Manage the procurement of raw materials, out-plant processes, and plant supplies.- Negotiate terms: Secure the best purchase price, quality, and delivery terms.- Source materials: Identify and establish new sources of materials.- Inventory management: Evaluate trends and update reorder points and lead times as necessary.- Maintain records: Keep the Purchased Item Masters/Cards updated in the MRP system.- Vendor relations: Participate in vendor selection and ongoing performance evaluation.- Monitor deliveries: Review material exception reports for potential late deliveries and inform appropriate departments of risks or changes.- Expedite materials: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials as needed.- Problem-solving: Work with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve material quality issues.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:· High school diploma/ GED Required.· Bachelor's (Preferred) or equivalent experience· Experience with ERP system· Strong negotiating experienceExpress Employment Professionals offers a full benefits package to all our associates, including:- Medical Plan: Doctor, hospital, and prescription benefits; Preventative wellness benefits; No co-pays or deductibles; No pre-existing conditions; PPO network discounts.-Other Benefits: Dental, life, and vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; Holiday pay.Confidential Interviews/Never a Fee
