Who are we?

The Botanist is the retail arm within Canopy USA, LLC — a top-tier, vertically integrated cannabis operator. With Acreage Holdings joining Canopy USA in December 2024, we’re unifying operations across Wana (edibles/beverages), Jetty (vape/concentrates), and Acreage (cultivation and retail, including Superflux flower and The Botanist stores) to capture efficiencies and scale growth across state-legal markets, especially in the Midwest and Northeast.

What’s the opportunity?

Lead the patient experience on the sales floor. You’ll welcome and check in patients, schedule visits, and oversee intake/renewals. You’ll maintain compliant member records, answer questions about state law and company policies, and provide thoughtful product recommendations, including guidance on safe dosing.

Where will you make the biggest impact?

• Support daily/weekly inventory and cash procedures alongside the Dispensary Manager
• Fulfill orders end-to-end: prep orders, enter product data, call patients about product requests, and admit patients if Security is occupied
• Keep our space spotless, safe, and welcoming — inside and out
• Coordinate with local service providers as needed
• Jump in on other tasks as business needs evolve

What do you need to succeed?

• High school diploma or equivalent (2 years of related post-secondary education preferred)
• At least 2 years of high-volume customer service — hospitality/retail a plus
• Fluency with POS systems, MS Word/Excel, and typical office equipment
• Exceptional phone and in-person service; calm under pressure
• Proactive, flexible, and accurate — especially with cash and inventory
• Strong verbal/written communication; planning and prioritization prowess
• Detail orientation, team focus, reliability, and uncompromising honesty
• Interest in medical cannabis history and product types preferred

Pay: $18.50-$19/hr.

• Five 8-hour shifts
• Evenings and weekends required
