Job Title: Metrology Lab TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metrology Lab Technician to support our R&D Metrology team. This role is perfect for someone interested in laboratory, manufacturing, quality, or engineering environments. As a Metrology Lab Technician, you will assist in measuring and evaluating plastic components and products using various metrology equipment and procedures. This entry-level position requires strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work independently while following established processes. Responsibilities Perform measurements on plastic components and products using metrology equipment and established procedures. Record, organize, and maintain measurement data accurately. Follow laboratory procedures, work instructions, and quality standards. Assist with sample preparation and handling. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Communicate measurement results and observations to team members and stakeholders. Work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the R&D and Metrology teams. Support additional laboratory activities as needed. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good problem-solving skills and a practical/common-sense approach to work. Basic computer skills, including data entry and documentation. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality, inspection, or metrology environment is preferred. Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical measurement systems, or similar equipment. Familiarity with handling and inspecting plastic components. Work Environment This position is based in a lab setting, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a structured laboratory environment and will be able to learn new equipment and processes quickly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
