Student Project Associate - Federal Work Study (Student Wage)

University Annual Giving & Stewardship in the Office of Engagement is accepting applications for a Federal Work Study student intern to assist the Direct Marketing team for the 2025-2026 academic school year. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented student who is interested in gaining hands-on direct marketing and team collaboration experience.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Accurately enter vendor expenses from the Direct Marketing Invoice Tracking sheet into the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to support ROI tracking.

• Create CRM mass updates to attribute appeal outreach (email, text, print) for the University of Virginia and affiliated schools and programs.

• Record inbound donor inquiries from the University Annual Giving inbox, recording them in a centralized spreadsheet, accurately tracking giving, ID, and routing of requests.

• Upload marketing proofs to the Advancement Community Marketing calendar.

• Maintain inventory of all items from premium campaigns (socks, keychains, etc.).

• Other duties assisting the Direct Marketing team may be assigned, as needed.

Must be Federal Work Study Student Eligible.

$19.50/hour for up to 20 hours a week; a minimum of 10 hours a week.

The University Annual Giving office is in Old Ivy Hall, located at 2420 Old Ivy Road in Charlottesville. Though mostly remote, this is a hybrid role, as there will be times where assistance is needed in the office.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning CRM systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
