Field Service Technician

Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls Act as a first-line response to customers Communicate with customers to find the right solution Organize and triage customer issues Handle problems before they start Service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches Work with service operations teachers, mentors, and coaches across territories Requirements Local candidate to specific geographic area Authorized to work in the US At least 18 years of age Have a valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements PC skills, basic electronic skills, and some specific hardware and operating system familiarity Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day Rotating and weekend shifts Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times with some holidays Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size Willingness to be trained on and operate small scale scissor lifts in retail environments Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in servicing electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, while effectively communicating with customers to resolve issues.
