Manages clinical activities, priorities, and problems, pharmacist staffing and workloads. Provides status report to pharmacy management effectively communicating issues, concerns, and suggestions as appropriate. Manages and develops clinical initiatives and determines therapeutic alternatives when drug shortages are identified and communicates with medical staff leadership and key stakeholders. Assists with budget preparation and daily financial activity specifically in relation to high cost drugs. Assists the Director and Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy with meeting administrative goals and objectives.

Required Education Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science degree PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy Experience 2 years of experience required or equivalent pharmacy residency experience English (speaking, reading, writing) Licenses and Certifications (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required by start date Upon Hire and Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Upon Hire and Texas license with TSBP within 30 days of date of hire within 30 Days
