This position is for a cardiologist who wishes to establish or transition to an independently operated medical practice while receiving structured operational support from MedCBO for non‑clinical business functions. Physicians own and govern their practice entity and clinical decisions; MedCBO does not direct patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the cardiology specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted, in‑good‑standing license in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is derived from the physician‑owned practice’s financial performance.
