Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary assessments and document case histories from initial consultations through treatment completion, ensuring detailed and accurate records.

• Thoroughly evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, identifying key factors that may impact their wellbeing.
\n
• Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and therapy groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions that promote open communication and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to better meet the needs of your clients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies.

• Maintain regular communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding any clients who may be hospitalized.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively to mitigate these challenges with practical solutions.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers on managing mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor with a strong understanding of therapy modalities.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Theoretical knowledge of the effects of prescribed medications and their role in mental health treatment.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating the delivery of clear instructions and compassionate care.
\n
• A deep sense of empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to ethical standards in counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients facing physical health challenges, emotional disorders, and addiction issues.

• Knowledge of the latest developments and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly as recognized by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
