Department: Speech Therapy (Wellness Center)
- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (the posting lists 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, but the scheduling requirements specify 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Hospital Size: 59 beds
- Patient Load: Approximately 4 patients per day
- Mix of:
- Outpatient (OP)
- Inpatient (IP)
- Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Perform outpatient and inpatient speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments
- Assess and treat:
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
- Voice disorders
- Language disorders
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Equipment: X-ray system for Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- EMR: Meditech
- Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- CCC-SLP certification required
- No advanced specialty skills required
- May float between Outpatient and Inpatient services as needed
- Scrubs
- Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends listed
- Low daily patient volume (approximately 4 patients/day)
- Opportunity to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- Supportive environment with a balanced caseload
This assignment is ideal for a CCC-SLP seeking a weekday schedule while gaining experience with a combination of inpatient, outpatient, and instrumental swallowing evaluations.
