Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Columbia, SC. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostics. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Six months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
