Commercial Construction Estimator

We are partnering with a leading commercial construction firm specializing in high-end hospitality and entertainment interior remodels to hire an experienced Estimator. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role focused on complex projects within active, high-traffic environments. You will own the full pre‑construction estimating lifecycle, from RFP review through final proposal submission, working on projects including hotel renovations, restaurants, retail spaces, and entertainment venues. This role requires precision, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage competitive bid processes in fast‑paced environments. What You’ll Do Prepare detailed hard‑bid estimates from full construction drawing sets Perform quantity takeoffs across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty scopes Develop complete, itemized bid packages with full scope coverage Manage the RFP process, including subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and procurement Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships Create detailed scope of work documents organized by CSI division Lead bid leveling and ensure accurate, apples‑to‑apples subcontractor comparisons Apply appropriate markups for overhead, profit, contingency, and risk Assemble and submit comprehensive proposal packages aligned with client requirements Develop concept‑level estimates from renderings, schematic designs, and limited documentation Provide cost‑per‑square‑foot estimates and scenario modeling based on finish levels What We’re Looking For Experience Commercial construction estimating experience, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, or high‑end interior remodels Proven experience with hard‑bid projects (typically $1M–$50M+) Experience managing full bid lifecycle from ITB through final submission Background estimating projects in active or occupied environments is highly preferred Ability to develop conceptual estimates from limited design information Technical Skills Proficiency in takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On‑Screen Takeoff, or similar) Experience with estimating and bid management software (e.g., BuildingConnected, Procore, or similar) Advanced Excel skills for bid leveling and estimate organization Strong understanding of CSI divisions and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret full construction drawing sets across disciplines Soft Skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Collaborative and able to work cross‑functionally with project teams Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑stakes project environments Why This Role High‑visibility role with direct impact on project success Exposure to complex, high‑end commercial construction projects Opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment Strong growth potential within a reputable and expanding organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
