Accountability Statement The Relationship Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding member experiences during in-person and phone interactions, identifying member cues, asking open-ended discovery questions, and growing consumer and business relationships by identifying member needs and positioning VyStar financial solutions. This role should describe VyStar’s value proposition versus competitors and educate and proactively help members with their financial goals. Essential Responsibilities Provide unbelievable member experiences during every interaction, from greeting to strengthening relationships through quality conversations and cross-selling credit union solutions. Identify member cues, ask open-ended questions, and grow consumer and business relationships by identifying member needs. Understand and position consumer and business deposit, credit, insurance, and investment solutions appropriately. Handle personal and business account transactions, open accounts, and process various loan applications. Explain basics of credit and savings options and refer more complex business products, mortgage solutions, investments, and insurance as appropriate. Provide additional services such as account maintenance, notary, wire transfers, savings bond redemption, safe deposit box services, fraud claims, and credit card disputes. Support and participate in all Credit Union initiatives and campaigns. Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with defined limits and guidelines. Work with relative independence to accomplish tasks. Exhibit integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism; maintain a positive attitude with members and partners. Resolve member problems independently, seek to achieve a s" whenever possible, and escalate more complex concerns as needed. Embrace VyStar’s Standards of Excellence and related commitments. Use relationship-building and documentation tools for thorough follow-up and proactive engagement with members. Engage proactively with members through outbound calls to understand needs and provide comprehensive solutions related to VyStar products and services, aiming for booked sales. Address and overcome objections while educating members about offerings. Perform other duties as assigned. All employees are expected to help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within their domain and support regulatory compliance. Job Qualifications Education High School Diploma/GED required. Associate’s degree preferred. Experience Previous experience in sales and/or customer service, community service, military service, asking questions, offering recommendations, and making referrals is preferred, preferably with a financial institution. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to process accurate transactions and requests. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of the Internet and Microsoft Office. Outgoing personality with a strong desire to help people. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to handle many tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for sales.
