POSITION SUMMARY:

The Teller III is an experienced, trusted front-line banking professional who executes a full range of complex teller transactions with speed, accuracy, and full compliance. In addition to delivering exceptional customer service, this role mentors and coaches less experienced staff and supports training, problem resolution, and operational oversight within the teller line. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Accurately process a wide range of complex teller transactions, including deposits, cashing checks, savings withdrawals, loan payments, issuing cashier’s checks, preparing change orders, and rolling coin (at select branches).

· Follow Customer Identification Procedures (CIP) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures by obtaining valid documentation, i.e. current driver’s license, state identification, passport etc.. to ensure the transaction is being performed for the proper customer.

· Maintain and balance personal cash drawer in accordance with First Port City Bank’s Teller Balancing Policy; promptly identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial integrity.

· Ensure compliance with all bank security protocols for cash handling, robbery response, securing funds, and branch opening/closing procedures, including night drop deposits, checklists, and end-of-day balancing.

· Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures, including monitoring for suspicious activity and completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) for qualifying cash activity.

· Maintain expert knowledge of all First Port City Bank products and services; deliver exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email, and proactively cross-sell relevant solutions.

· Provide prompt, courteous assistance to customers in person, by phone, or via email; address inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism.

· Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service and proactive cross-selling of relevant banking solutions.

· Place customer check orders, issue or replace debit cards, and assist with online banking access and troubleshooting.

· Perform teller overrides within authorized limits and provide guidance on proper escalation procedures.

· Balance vault cash, prepare coin and currency orders, and balance/troubleshoot ATM and Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) machines.

· Handle foreign item collection, wire transfer preparation, and investigate and resolve Regulation E (Reg E) disputes.

· Support personal bankers with day-to-day functions such as new account opening, stop payments, auto transfers, and other operational tasks.

· Provide customers with access to safe deposit boxes as needed, ensuring secure and accurate handling.

· Perform other related duties as assigned to support efficient branch operations and excellent customer service.

Leadership and Team Support

· Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced tellers, assisting with training, troubleshooting, and workflow management.

· Serve as a subject matter expert on branch policies, procedures, and operational best practices.

· Assist in resolving escalated customer issues and provide support in high-volume or complex transaction situations.
