Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Commercial Electrician tosupport a new client location in Concord, NC. This contract-to-hire position is ideal for an experienced electrician with strong commercial or industrial electrical experience who enjoys preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and working in a fast-paced facilities environment. This is a client-facing role supporting a new site, with opportunities to work independently while collaborating with a skilled maintenance team. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM with alternating weekends.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and scheduled electrical maintenance on facility equipment and systems
• Inspect, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components including wiring, lighting, motors, switches, controls, panels, and related equipment
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
• Review historical maintenance records to support preventive maintenance planning
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify effective repair solutions
• Perform new electrical installations and equipment modifications as needed
• Ensure all electrical systems operate safely and comply with company safety standards
• Document completed work and maintenance activities using a CMMS system when applicable
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal team members
• Participate in daily team check-ins and complete assigned maintenance tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Support additional facility maintenance projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Trade school education or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred
• 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 Certification
• Electrician's License
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience working in commercial facilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed
