Gas Marketing Representative

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage term and daily natural gas trading activities for Targa’s operating unitsFacilitate gas transportation procurement according to asset and customer needsDevelop and execute trading optimization strategies across Targa assets Manage supply to downstream customer portfolioBuild and maintain relationships with counterparties and industry contacts to facilitate trading activities and stay updated on market developmentsSupport long term origination efforts for new growth strategies for supply and end users adjacent to Targa assetsAssist and support for other Targa trading areas, including Permian, Oklahoma, and Gulf CoastOther duties as assignedMINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related field or commensurate trading experienceStrong understanding of the natural gas midstream industry and natural gas trading is requiredMinimum of 2 years of natural gas related experienceMinimum of 3 years of natural gas scheduling experienceUnderstanding of financial trading and hedging strategiesSound communication and documentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and managementMotivated, self-directed and detail-oriented, while also maintaining a results-driven approach to work; Demonstrated accountability skills including the ability to take ownership of assigned tasksStrong analytical skills, including the ability to recognize and research irregularities and inconsistenciesExcellent organizational skills with close attention to detailEffective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive mannerCapable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaborationAbility to remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situationsRegular and reliable attendanceEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:Targa Resources provides equal employment opportunities based on merit, experience, and other work-related criteria and without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
