Registered Nurse - Mixed Unit High Acuity

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day 4x12-hour shift from 07:00 to 19:00

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a mixed unit with high acuity patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex patient needs across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a mixed unit setting.
• Manage a patient load of 6 patients with high acuity needs.
• Participate in the Rapid Response Team and demonstrate strong decision-making skills during emergency situations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Meditech charting system.
• Float to various departments as needed while adhering to scope of practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a high-acuity environment.
• Current and valid RN license in Florida or compact state.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with total joint replacements and monitoring cardiac drips without titration.
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias.
