Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and personable Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and families, ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all admission inquiries, providing information and guidance to residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources.

• Coordinate and facilitate the admissions process from initial inquiry to move-in.

• Conduct facility tours and present services in a professional and compassionate manner.

• Verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to evaluate admissions.

• Maintain all admissions documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, case managers, and community organizations.

• Track admissions metrics and prepare reports as needed.

• Participate in marketing and community outreach activities when appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.

• Previous experience in healthcare admissions, social services, case management, or related role strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of insurance processes, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care plans beneficial.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capability.

• Compassionate, customer-service focused approach.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
