Patient Intake and Registration Specialist

Responsibilities We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic person to join St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute's Intake team as an Intake Specialist. The position is full-time, 40 hours a week with benefits, and does not require in‑person interactions with patients. This back‑office role works in the office Monday‑Friday, 7am‑6pm (8‑hour shift with a 30‑minute lunch). As an Intake Specialist, your responsibility is to schedule potential patients who are seeking mental health treatment at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI). You will collect demographic and basic information via phone and email. Ideal candidates are well‑versed at navigating electronic‑based information, effectively communicating over the phone, maintaining organization and attention to detail, and are able to work independently and schedule efficiently. Qualifications Qualification Preferences: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, with strong consideration for candidates with a Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field and/or one year experience with intake screenings or customer service telephone etiquette.
