Job Description\n HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Unit Highlights:PLEASE READ EXPERIENCE FULLY!\n Hospital: Methodist Hospital\n Location: San Antonio, TX\n Unit: Oncology (8S) (632)\n Classification: RN – Oncology\n Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A\n Building/Floor/Suite information of unit:\n General Information\n Shift Details- Please correct information belowif needed:\n \n Quantity:\n Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A\n Weekend: Rotating\n Call Requirements: No\n Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs.\n Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years +\n \n ***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***\n Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing:\n \n Documentation system: Meditech\n Floating policy: As needed\n \n \n Hiring profile\n Requested Skill Set:\n Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)\n \n Must have BLS\n At least 5+ years of Experience\n Med-Surg/Tele RN experience\n ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\n EXPERIENCE WITH MEDIPORTS/PICCS/CENTRAL LINES\n \n Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)\n \n Chemotherapy Certification preferred\n Meditech experience preferred\n \n Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)\n \n Active TX RN License-Temp License is NOT accepted\n \n \n Procedures performed on unit:\n \n Chemotherapy administration\n CHG Baths, including the central lines and dressings\n Central line, mediport access and lab draws\n BLOOD PRODUCT TRANSFUSIONS\n CHEMO ADMINISTRATION\n \n \n Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.\n \n Scrub Color\n RN: Navy scrubs\n Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy\n Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed\n Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible.
