Summer Seasonal Pharmacy Clerk Summary A pharmacy clerk is responsible for handling basic administrative duties within a pharmacy. They communicate with customers about available prescriptions, sort medications using the pharmacy’s organization system, inform the pharmacist of medications that require restocking, and update patient files with new prescriptions, insurance, or personal information. Pharmacy clerks work under the supervision of a pharmacist, comply with applicable policies and procedures, and contribute to organizational operations by performing other duties as needed. Responsibilities Handle basic administrative duties within the pharmacy. Communicate with customers about available prescriptions. Sort medications using the pharmacy’s organization system. Notify the pharmacist of medications requiring restocking. Update patient files with new prescriptions, insurance, or personal information. Work under the supervision of a pharmacist. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Qualifications Prior experience as a Pharmacy Clerk a plus. High school diploma or GED a plus. Ability to focus and pay attention to detail. Ability to multitask. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. Able to stand for a long time.
