Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1930 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
- Ability to care for 6 telemetry patients, including post-cardiac procedure patients: PCI, PPM, ICD, or ablations.
- Proficient in reading telemetry strips.
- Plans of care every shift, discharge planning, and patient education.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 30 months RN or LPN nursing experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy preferred.
- Administering breathing treatments outside the ICU, including inhalers and nebulizers, preferred.
- Foley catheter care and maintenance with nurse-driven protocols for removal preferred.
- Post-Cath Lab patient experience preferred.
- Management of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Dobutamine) preferred.

Unit Details:
- Uses i-mobile phones for each care team member, mobile computer workstations on wheels, mobilab lab drawers, and Alaris IV pumps.

Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Floating Requirements:
- Travelers are first to float and may be sent to the emergency department to care for inpatient holds, the telemetry monitoring room, or PCU.
