Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Clinical Operations (RN) to lead our growing clinical team. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of all direct and indirect patient care services delivered by the interdisciplinary team. Collaborate with the Clinical Team Coordinator to ensure high-quality patient care and positive patient outcomes. Lead interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, facilitating care plan discussions, problem-solving, and team collaboration. Recruit, hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical team members. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Monitor compliance with federal, state, Medicare, accreditation, and agency standards. Partner with the Compliance Department to identify educational needs and implement staff training initiatives. Conduct regular visits to contracted facilities to maintain strong relationships and provide education and support. Monitor operational expenses, including payroll, supply costs, mileage reimbursement, and budget-related expenditures. Support quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of clinical excellence. Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health. Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience . Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, end-of-life care, symptom management, and interdisciplinary care planning. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively support staff while providing exceptional service to patients and families. Preferred Previous hospice leadership or management experience. Experience overseeing interdisciplinary clinical teams. Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs.
