Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7PM - 7AM, rotating weekends, no call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Labor and Delivery and have a strong commitment to providing quality care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and newborn.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Manage medication administration and documentation in EMR.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed.
• Participate in the triage process for incoming patients.
• Educate families on postpartum care and infant care techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery is mandatory.
• Experience in circulation for C/S and managing antepartum patients is preferred.
