Developmental Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary... What you'll do... Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety proper functionality and aesthetics of facilities equipment or fixtures under thesupervision of a more senior technician by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines inspecting cleaning andrepairing facilities equipment or fixtures observing and documenting signs of wear and tear and documenting preventive maintenance activitiesPerforms minor repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures under the supervision of a more senior technician by utilizing multiple craft skills forexample plumbing electrical carpentry material handling equipment food equipment inspecting operating or testing facilities equipment orfixtures to diagnose issues dismantling equipment machines or facilities to access and remove defective parts diagnosing problems utilizingblueprints repair manuals or parts catalogs as needed utilizing hand tools power tools hoists and other equipment responding to emergency callsinvolving facilities equipment or fixtures and documenting repair activitiesProvides assistance on work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. Preferred Qualifications...
