FT Evening: 3 pm-11:30 pm w/ rotating weekends (shift differential $5.00) Job Summary Registered Nurses (RNs) deliver care to inmate patients utilizing the nursing assessment protocols in assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. RNs collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. RNs effectively interact with patients while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Corrections Nurses provide care to inmate patients to promote and improve their overall health utilizing the nursing process in triage, professional training, and various resources in accordance with regulatory agencies and established guidelines. The inmate patient population generally has not had consistent access to healthcare prior to their incarceration, creating an opportunity to address a wide range of health concerns from minor ailments to major and atypical conditions. Organizational Expectations Represents CFG Health Systems, LLC positively and professionally Promotes a culture of safety for patients and staff through proper identification, documentation, and prevention Maintains knowledge of current nursing standards, regulations, and best practices Adheres to infection control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations Participates in ongoing quality improvement initiatives Completes facility‑required orientation and training Follows OSHA and facility safety policies and procedures Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations Is punctual and reliable for assigned/confirmed shifts Maintains required security clearance for the assigned facility Job Responsibilities Delivers individualized nursing care to inmate patients according to nursing protocols Performs assessments of inmate patients in various correctional settings including intake, health care units, emergency situations, chronic care clinics, and medical units Collaborates with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, appropriate, and continuous care Administers medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, and treatments to inmates Monitors and reports reactions to treatments, medications, and changes in physical or emotional status Provides patient education, including medication guidance, self‑care instructions, and discharge planning Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner on appropriate forms Promotes a therapeutic, professional environment for inmates, maintaining ethical and tactful care Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of current nursing standards and regulations Adheres to infection control policies, medication administration standards, and regulatory guidelines Participates in ongoing staff development, training, and quality improvement initiatives Performs additional duties as assigned based on facility needs Qualifications Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment (maintain a current copy on file at all times) Minimum Work Experience Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse Previous experience in a correctional healthcare environment preferred Required Skills Excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills Ability to make independent decisions in a fast‑paced environment Assertive, empathetic, and able to provide objective patient care Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team Ability to earn the respect and confidence of inmates and staff, demonstrating commitment to the facility’s mission Maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification Functional Demands Ability to pass all required health and security screenings May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays On‑call availability may be required #J-18808-Ljbffr CFG Health
