Recycling Operations Manager

We're seeking a hands-on Recycling Operations Manager to lead daily production operations in a growing recycling facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, solving operational challenges, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

What You'll Do

Operations Leadership

• Oversee daily recycling line operations and ensure production goals are achieved
• Lead line operators, forklift drivers, and production team members
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment issues and minimize downtime
• Ensure smooth operation across production areas

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide hands-on supervision, coaching, and support
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and strong workplace performance
• Address operational challenges and assist employees with problem-solving
• Support employee development and training initiatives

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety policies and OSHA-compliant work practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Conduct routine safety discussions and reinforce best practices
• Promote a culture focused on workplace safety and operational excellence

Production & Reporting

• Track production output and operational performance
• Maintain accurate production records and reports
• Monitor quality, efficiency, and productivity metrics
• Operate a forklift and assist with production activities as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, or industrial operations
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Forklift experience required
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to identify problems and implement solutions quickly
• Basic computer skills and experience tracking production metrics
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a physically active environment
• Reliable attendance and commitment to operational excellence

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime when needed
