Route Driver CDL DIRECT HIRES

Box Truck Driver

The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. The driver will load and unload laundry carts, establish professional relationships with customers, and provide quality customer service. The role requires safe operation of company vehicles, including pre- and post-route inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and following hours of service rules and standard vehicle operating procedures.

• Deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
• Work beyond scheduled hours as needed due to production or delivery issues.
• Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
• Conduct daily visual inspections of equipment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes as needed.
• Transport equipment to service providers for repairs and service as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
• Capability to push/pull soil/clean carts (on wheels).
• Consistently meet physical requirements, including bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
• Valid driver's license.
• Adherence to all DOT, state, and local regulations.
• Clean driving record per company policy.
• Six months to one-year experience.
• Availability to drive nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in speaking and reading the English language.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day.
• Capability to use repetitive arm motions.
