Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in a postoperative recovery environment, ensuring patient safety and stabilization following surgical procedures. Monitor patient vitals, manage recovery protocols, and facilitate seamless transitions to appropriate care levels.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition regularly post-surgery and respond promptly to changes.
• Administer medications and interventions according to physician orders.
• Monitor and document vital signs, recovery progress, and patient responses.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery procedures and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license within the state.
• Possess recent experience in post-anesthesia or recovery settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment and monitoring.
• Be able to work independently during extended shifts.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Have current BLS/ACLS certifications.
